Inspire Olympia

Inspire Olympia is a voter-approved initiative that dedicates a portion of Olympia’s sales tax to local nonprofit organizations offering arts, sciences, heritage, and cultural programs and experiences for the public in Olympia and the Olympia School District.
 

ArtsWA

ArtsWA is the Washington State Arts Commission. ArtsWA is a state agency, formed by the Washington State Legislature in 1961. Thier mission is to nurture and support the role of the arts in the lives of all Washingtonians.
 

City of olympia

On January 28, 2025, the Olympia City Council passed a resolution declaring Olympia a sanctuary city for LGBTQIA2S+ community members, expanding its commitment to ensuring all residents feel safe and supported. Developed collaboratively with community members, Councilmembers and City staff, the Resolution reflects public input through comments, conversations, and the Belonging in Olympia initiative.  The resolution reaffirms the City’s dedication to protecting LGBTQIA2S+ rights, explicitly rejecting discrimination, and upholding Washington’s Law Against Discrimination. Key actions include affirming the right to gender-affirming care, free expression, and self-determination; prohibiting City resources from being used to investigate or penalize individuals exercising these rights; opposing state and federal legislation that threatens LGBTQIA2S+ protections; and strengthening engagement with LGBTQIA2S+ leaders, including maintaining liaison officers in the police department. The City also commits to reviewing policies for inclusivity, reducing barriers to resources, and celebrating LGBTQIA2S+ voices through education and public events.

Community Print

Community Print is a member-run, community-supported printmaking studio and creative space operating in downtown Olympia, Washington for over 25 years.

Community Print provides introductory Letterpress and RISO classes, in addition to special subject classes related to printing, paper, book arts, and more! We work with mostly reclaimed materials, from donated type to paper that was slated for the dumpster. We make beautiful and tangible things in an antiquated fashion.

TCMedia makes programming that reflects the interests and serves the needs of every segment of the community available to viewers of our cable channels and internet streaming platforms. TCMedia is unequivocally committed to the expression of lawful free speech. Our responsibility is to assist residents, nonprofit organizations, schools, and local government agencies in Thurston County to produce their programs.
