Empowering the LGBTQIA2S+ Arts

Our Mission:

CAPITAL CITY PRIDE

Pride's mission is to create a safe and empowering stage to uplift, celebrate, heal and inspire our vibrant LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC community while being environmental stewards who create ally-ships with local businesses to boost our local economy and broadcast a culture of belonging and love.

Our Vision

The community of Pride welcomes and celebrates diversity of sex, gender identity, gender expression, and gender orientation in all ages and cultural backgrounds.

The Pride stage showcases art, music, poetry, spoken word, activism, entertainment and more, uplifting, making visible and shining a light on the diverse beauty of our LGBTQIA2S+ culture.

Pride collaborates with community business, organizations, activists and artists of all mediums to create a safe space on and off the stage to challenge and liberate us from oppressions, including but not limited to, sexism, ableism, ageism, cissexism, classism, heterosexism, monosexism, nationalism, racism, religious oppression, sizeism, trans oppression and xenophobia.

Through these connections we build a strong community culture of inclusion, interdependence and a legacy of radical belonging, acceptance and love.

We feel the stage is a place to heal all our past trauma. Pride is the place to express your authentic self on stage, be vulnerable, be heard and be loved.
